Did you know that the next French cineclub in Bristol is on 1st November?

Alliance Française de Bristol will be showing Lulu femme nue directed by Solveig Anspach with Karin Viard and Bouli Lanners.
The film is based on the BD  ( la bande-dessinée)  of the same title by Etienne Davodeau.

After a disastrous job interview, Lulu decides not to go back home, leaving her husband and three children without any explanation.
She goes off to the coast, alone, to enjoy a few days of freedom. She meets a variety of people who will help her rediscover herself.
In January 2015, the film received a nomination for best actress ath 20th Lumières Awards and the best actor nomination at the 5th Magritte Awards.
Here are what the critics wrote about the film:

RTL

Thank you to Emilie, French tutor at Alliance Française de Bristol, for organizing the cineclub and to the Lansdown pub in Clifton for letting us use their upstairs room to show the films. For more info...
